Spoiled mob boss daughter[]

We first meet Elaine Lefkowitz in the first season of Soap as she is asleep in her bedroom at her father's mansion. She is the daughter of mob boss Charles Lefkowitz (Sorrell Booke) and was spoiled rotten by her daddy.

She gets a first glance at Danny Dallas, who had broken into the mansion so he could try to stop the contract that they put out on his stepfather, Burt Campbell. Because he failed to kill Burt (for killing Johnny Dallas, who was thought to be his father at the time), the mob was out to kill him!

Elaine spoke up for Danny and spared his life, but then she became totally obnoxious and demanded that Danny do whatever she wanted to. She then asked him to marry her. Danny and his family tried everything to get out of it, but failed.

When she married Danny, her father outright disowned her, and as such they had to move into Danny's parents home, which irritated Burt and Danny's mother, Mary Campbell.

During one dinner, Elaine criticized everything, which nearly had all three want to kill her. Mary finally had enough of Elaine's snide mouth and hit her in the face with a Chocolate Cream Pie!

After a scheme which nearly drove Elaine to tears, Burt and Mary tried to talk to them both to try to make things right between them. It was at that time that Elaine became nicer and she and Mary bonded.

At that point, Danny truly fell in love with Elaine, but that love ended when she was kidnapped by two thugs who had an ax to grind against her father. Charles refused to pay the ransom for his daughter, and when she escaped her captors, she was shot. When she got to the Campbell house, she died in Danny's arms, which led him to vow vengeance against his wife's killers.

Although she was a tough woman, with a little love, she showed her humanity.
