Backstory

Lucas is born to Dr. Kate Winograd on August 1, 1979 (revised to 1975). He was the product of an affair between Kate and her co-worker, Dr. Bill Horton. At the time, Kate was married to the abusive Curtis Brown and once he learned of her affair, he left her on the side of the road pregnant. Lucas would be delivered by Kate's colleague, Dr. Marlena Evans. After leaving Salem, Kate became a prostitute to support herself and Lucas. One of her clients would be Stefano DiMera who helped get off the streets and reinvent herself. Stefano would also pay for Lucas to attend West Point Military Academy.
