Rainbow Stories is an American television soap opera that aired for 8 years on the BGC Network from March 16, 2015 to September 22, 2023.

Created by Marc Harvard, the series taped its first scenes on February 16, 2015 and debuted on March 16, 2015. It was a spinoff of Passionate Dreams, having replaced the canceled 43-year-old soap opera Fraternity Row.

Production of Rainbow Stories was suspended in March 2020 as a direct result of the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States. Vintage repeat episodes began airing on May 18, 2020, while after the final new episode aired on May 15, 2020. Production resumed on July 22, 2020, and new episodes began airing on August 3.

On January 19, 2023, BGC announced that it canceled Rainbow Stories after almost 8 years because of low ratings (the same day BGC also canceled Universal Lives and One Line to Cross). The show taped its final scenes on August 30, 2023, and its final episode aired on September 22, 2023.

On September 25, 2023, the following Monday, BGC replaced Rainbow Stories with a new daytime talk show called The Ashley Winters Show.

2015-16[]

Rainbow Stories began on March 16, 2015.

Anton Yelchin reprised his Passionate Dreams role as Zack Moravsky after he killed his ex-wife Karen Harper Moravsky and was arrested in 2006. In September 2015, Zack married his new wife Sylvia Monroe (Marcy Walker) and went on a honeymoon.

The April 2, 2016 episode of Rainbow Stories included the final appearances for both Anton Yelchin as Zack and Marcy Walker as Sylvia before Anton Yelchin died on June 19, 2016. Zack left with Sylvia and moved to Villanova.

2020s[]

Production of Rainbow Stories was suspended in March 2020 as a direct result of the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States. Vintage repeat episodes began airing on May 18, 2020, while after the final new episode aired on May 15, 2020. Production resumed on July 22, 2020, and new episodes began airing on August 3, 2020.

In January 2023, Rainbow Stories was in danger of cancellation, and ratings were not good.

On January 19, 2023, BGC announced that it canceled Rainbow Stories along with both One Line to Cross and Universal Lives after almost 8 and 10 years on the air. Rainbow Stories aired its final episode on September 22, 2023.
